Ode to 7 days

7 days of blogger silence.

Life is raining down on us from all directions, some good, some not so good.

Septic systems and insurance companies are taking up many precious hours that should be spent with other things.

The promise of spring time is present, although it comes with howling winds and cold, cold temperatures - going out like a lion.

Mud, ice, puddles and general slop is the way of our world outside.

Seedlings are sprouting and piles of compost were delivered to be spread in the hoophouse where cabbage, lettuce and spinach will soon be planted.

Kids have spring fever and are at each other's throats and driving me to spend a lot of time in the greenhouse with my wine bottle.

The house is under construction in about 3 different ways, all cluttered, dusty and awful. The husband is trying to 'wrap up' all sorts of projects before the weather breaks. It's driving me crazy.

New carpet is coming tomorrow and there is an entire basement of furnishings that need to be moved somewhere in the next 12 hours. Not sure where.

Selling it all and buying a condo in downtown St. Paul is becoming more and more alluring.

I'll leave you with a funny picture. Funny because of the name, but not funny in that it's the 3rd time he's been here trying to fix our problem.

Awwww...so sorry the Porky's man isn't there for a more entertaining reason.

I hear ya on the kid clashing... tossed mine outside with jackets/hats/howling winds and a Good luck! Don't come back in this house until you at least pretend to be nice to each other!

My house looks like a bomb went off and I don't have a single renovation or project to blame it on. Ugh.

Maybe you need a power cord for a mini-fridge in the greenhouse? :-D

Hang in there!

Ugh! Sounds like quite the trying week!

I like that you have your greenhouse to run away to when you need to. Maybe someday you'll have your own little cabin too (with that little fridge Ang noted!)

Wow, you're too busy for me. I say throw the kids out and grap that bottle of wine. Lock yourself in your green house and have your own party!

As to today's weather, I have but one comment. Where is global warming when we need it?
