Ok - "UNCLE", Mother Nature, we give.

Okay, we get it, She's not thrilled with Wisconsin. We're sorry for whatever we did to offend Mother Earth - but can you give us a break now?

Another weekend of -40 wind chills and I'm ready to pack up and permanently move South. Although from the looks of the map, it would have to be extreme South to escape this crappy winter weather - it's invading everywhere.

Keeping outside animals comfortable in this crap is difficult, to say the least.

It's amazing how being cooped up in the house and having to bundle up to brave the assault when you go outside, starts to wear on your nerves and your attitude. I'm crabby and want to stomp my 2-year-old feet and say "I no yike dis anymo", taking a page from our Maddie's book who used to say this constantly when something wasn't going her way.

We went to an annual Valentine's Party this weekend. Good friends of ours started the tradition about 3 years ago and everyone looks forward to it. There's always games and inappropriate prizes and lots of fun.

It just so happens that we are in the same social circle as a lot of the teachers at our High School. Ironic, I know. So, the highlight of my evening was when I was taking pictures of my daughter's high school science teacher's wife, modeling her edible undies (OVER her pants, of course) that she just won. As I was snapping the pictures, I glanced over to him, winked and said, "I'm so glad Alyson will be getting an A in your class!"

It's good to get out and see friends since most everyone hibernates during this time of year. It's especially good when it involves blackmail.

Needless to say, Sunday was spent doing a lot of nothing. Sleeping, eating and more sleeping.
