Ohhhh, to be 13 again!

Remember the days? Liking boys, but not wanting to let them know that you like them? The boys trying to slyly play football and soccer, but accidentally kick/throw the ball into the circle of girls that are trying to act like they are ignoring the boys that are doing the throwing/kicking? Hilarious. We were transported back into 7th grade tonight. Our Maddie and her BFF (I'm so hip) Taylor had their 13th birthday party together tonight. The first boy/girl shindig, what a laugh.

25+ kids enjoying a bonfire, flashlight tag, karoake, ghost in the graveyard,soccer, football, volleyball, bocce.......c'mon, you remember the days, right? The weather cooperated and was perfect for this outdoor party. The kids all seemed to have a great time. All a great group of kids, all thanking us for having them - how refreshing. And NO girl drama, can you believe that? That rarely happens, but we lucked out.

We agreed to host the boy/girl part and Taylor's parents agreed to host the girls for the overnight. Suckers! The first part of the night was cake - they all played outside for 6 hours, now they have to put up with the girls all night! We definitely got the better end of that deal.

One more birthday down for Maddie, she is officially a teen - God help me - two teenage girls in this house. Two more years and there will be three of them, that's when me and John will want to move out...........well, at least John, 3 teenagers girls plus a wife? He'll be out of here, either that or he'll have to be drunk most of the time.
