Not much time to post today - we are off to the ski hill with the kids. John is teaching today and the local public school is having a ski day for their kids before Christmas break, so all the girls' friends will be there.
It just so happens that it is a gorgeous day today with temps in the mid 20's and awesome sunshine.
The chickens are actually out of the coop and roaming around, the first time in many days. Egg production has slowed quite a bit with us only getting about 6 eggs a day as opposed to 12. We have been sorting through the hatchery catalog planning on what new chicks we will order for the spring. As we did last year, we will order about 50 meat chicks which we will grow out and then butcher. I'm planning on ordering about 12 more laying hens and hopefully will be able to offer our CSA customers fresh eggs with their vegetables.
We are still working on getting a few goats in the spring also - goat milk, goat cheese, goat yogurt! Yum. I wonder if there will ever be enough hours in the day for everything I would like to do?
Have a beautiful day!

Well, it is always good to ski and enjoy a White Christmas for those of you living or staying where it snows.
It is Summer forever for people like me in Nigeria.
