She lives!

No, I haven't been kicked in the head by a goat, eaten by the pig or buried alive by the pile of tomatoes that is in my kitchen waiting to have something (anything) done with them.

I am however, down with a pinched nerve in my back and not in a very good mood.

There is so much to tell and so many pictures to share, but right now I'm just into sitting around feeling sorry for myself because I have been training for this thing called a 5K for about 5 months now? Yeah, I'm running 3.5 miles 3 times a week and signed up for the 5K this weekend at the Amery Fall Festival? Yeah, and now the back thing.......not happy, is what I am.

So, while I sit here and play the 'poor me' card game, I'll try to organize my pictures, come up wtih something to say that is not bitchy and attempt to get caught up on my feed reader, although those huge numbers behind all your great blog names is very intimidating.

Hey, at least I'm not crying about Alyson leaving for college anymore - that's one positive, right?

Yikes! Hope you feel better soon!

I bragged on ya over at my blog. I made your grandma's pickle recipe and they turned out great!! Can't wait to share them with both my grandmas! That is if I have any left between the boy and sharing with neighbors, lol.

Ugh! Back pain sucks! Especially as you've been working towards the 5k. I hope the pain subsides quickly.

I've found I have to mark "all read" sometimes in my feed reader as the quickly growing numbers become too daunting when I get behind. Either that or I don't comment much if at all.

Feel better!

Ice it down and give yourself a little break. And don't sweat the blogosphere. We'll be here when you recover and sort out that pile o' tomatoes.

Bless your heart. I feel your pain. I know that's discouraging. It'll get better, right? :-)

((hugs)) Back pain sucks and always seems to come at the wrong time, or maybe we just don't see how right it is. But either way, it is the pits!!! I feel you pain having been there a lot. Hope you can get some joy from your rest, or at least some relief from the pain.

I hope your back heals up soon. Maybe lots of good movies in the meantime?
Take care.

I'm sorry to hear about your back. Keep up your training when you feel better, there will be other races.

Oh honey! One gone. How perfect and bittersweet. Hope you're still walk/running. . . . Hang in there with the back and the photos.

As for the whole Matron blog thing - for sure, I'm going to be at the Phipps in Hudson on opening night, which is Friday November 7. I'll post something beforehand but I'd love to meet you!!
