April Letter - #11

Okay, so I'm 1 hour and 35 minutes past the deadline, so? Here's the letter:

Dear Seasonal Friend:

Thank you for dinner tonight. We have a hard time connecting and can never figure out the other ones schedule, but we finally made it work.

We had a fantastic dinner and got to catch up on what is going on in each other's lives. It's funny, we play golf league together, we are great friends, but we literally can go all winter and not speak and in the spring, when we know golf season is right around the corner, we can pick up where we left off and act like no time has expired at all. Amazing.

We had food, drink (maybe too much), and talked for hours. You finished your basement and it's gorgeous, we got new furniture, our daughters are heading off to college in the fall, can you believe it??

We have connected and are ready to start seeing each other every Tuesday for Ladies League Golf. Our team has won the last 3 years in a row and this is our connection. We ride every week in a cart together and talk, talk, talk.

I love your friendship even though we are very different types of parents. It's great that we can look past our differences and still be such good friends.

Seasonal friends. Meaning we are close and then can go for months and not see each other and pick right up where we left off. Is there such a thing as seasonal friends? If so, you are the best one I could ask for.

Looking forward to seeing you at the 1st tee. Here's to a fun season.

Love, Ang

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. One of my favorite women is so different than I am politically but it means nothing to us, because we don't let it. We do share like parenting. I think with age comes more tolerance of differences, well, depending on the season and the mood and the friend. ; ) I am so loving your music. How did you get it to keep playing while in the commenting section? Mine won't. You have no idea, do you?

Madeline - you know me so well, don't you?? Pure luck, I guess with the music, b/c of course, I have no idea how it happened.

I'm enjoying the music too.

And yes, I've had "seasonal" friends too, especially in FL. Its so much fun to have that to look forward to.
