Ahhhhhhh........

My house is completely quiet right now. My cousin who was visiting, left early this morning. Maddie is babysitting. Brenna is still asleep (11:30 a.m.) - she is coming down with something, so I'm letting her sleep. God, how I love not being tied to a school calendar and having this freedom.

The sun is shining in my living room window and I just spent the last 3 hours, literally, catching up on all your wonderful blogs. Can I just say, "I love you guys." Am I just lucky to have stumbled across the most varied, wonderful, smart, funny blogs out there or what? Are there this many and more still out there that I haven't discovered and if so, how can I arrange my life around reading them?

Ordering seeds is on the agenda today. This is something I usually have done in early February and already have some of them planted and sprouting in the greenhouse. However, for whatever reason, well, actually for many reasons, I haven't even cleaned out the greenhouse from last year or attempted to start up the heater. For some reason, I'm not feeling overly panicked about this - which is suprising, so I'm just kind of 'going with it'. Odd for me.

The repercussions of a long and busy February are settling in and I'm feeling the need to do a lot of nothing. So, still in my p.j.'s, with slippers on, I'm starting a pot of Broccoli/Cheese soup, making homemade bread, drinking coffee and enjoying the seed catalogs spread all over my dining room table. Taking my time to peruse through all the new varieties and draw maps of my fields and dream of spring.

I think I've earned it and truthfully, don't care if I haven't. Enjoy your day, ladies.

You're welcome anytime, Mrs. G - it would be my honor!

By the way, the soup turned out great, if I do say so myself....

Sounds lovely! I am an unschooler wannabe. Only fear stops me, but moments like you describe makes me consider how much I love summer, unfettered from the school schedule!

I'd love to see how you map out your farm and see how you decide what goes where and by what factors. Enjoy your relaxing day Angie!

Sounds good. It's going to be a chick flick weekend here in the Cities. Hubby's overseas and I've got tons of weepfests queued up. And chocolate, and wine, and margaritas if I go to Chipotle. Yum!
