Nablah,blah,blow me......

Oh shit. Missed another day. But wait, I have a really good excuse.......you see, my sisters-in-law (is that right?) called last night and said they were all going to be at my mother-in-law's house and could they please come get my daughters so they could spend the night there??

Oh, no. Don't do that! Don't take my little darlings for the night and give me a chance to act like an adult - that would be awful. Well, okay.

Needless to say, I gave in and let them go. So, my husband and I had the evening to ourselves......, if you know what I mean. What? Get your mind out of the gutter - we had to get all his stuff ready for the big Deer Hunt 07 that kicked off this morning - what else would we do? Jeez. Can you imagine? Sex in a house with no kids? Uninhibited? Don't know if I can remember the last time that has happened. Don't worry your pretty little heads....we took advantage. Only so he would be nice and relaxed for the hunt this morning. I do what I can for the cause, you know.

Although, maybe I'm not as good as I think I am - Deer Hunt 07 report: nothing. nada. zilch. zero. Maybe tomorrow morning, who knows. Because I am an idiot, I actually went out into the stand with him this morning at 6:00 AM in the 20 degree weather, in the hopes of seeing him actually get one. However, this only lasted about an hour. By that time, I'd had more than enough and was ready to go back into my warm house with hot coffee and a couch. That crazy guy stayed out all day, saw a small buck and a couple of doe, but nothing 'worthy' of his time. Who knew beggars could be choosers. Tonight he is out with the boys celebrating......what? What are they celebrating? Being men? The testosterone gets pretty thick in these parts this time of year. Nauseating. We'll see if he gets up at 6:00 tomorrow morning, won't we?

The kids decided to stay over AGAIN at grandma's, so here I sit, in a quiet house, all by myself in front of the fireplace and completely enjoying the peace and quiet and lack of testosterone and the pitter patter of little feet. Envy me.

Just one more tidbit, if you are a mom and you haven't seen this, you need to watch it. Classic. http://www.sharks-bite.com/momsong.htm

Have a good night, ladies!

Linda - it is a small world here in Wisconsin! I wouldn't be surprised!

Kelly - don't we just crave alone time? It's so nice.

Cece - yes. As you say, "you people are nucking futs". I couldn't have said it better!

oh, I'm sure it just broke your heart to send them away...quiet, time to yourself, really, who needs it?

You're definitely braver than I am. I wouldn't have been up in the deer blind, but then again, that might be why I'm single... anyway, I love your blog and look forward to reading it every day this month. In fact, since you're one of the great ones I found off NaBloPoMo, I've tagged you.

Any chance you want to play along?
