D-Day, so to speak.

After all my rambling on about the Couch to 5K program, then the back injury, the recuperation, the recovery, the return to exercise......dun, dun, dun......tomorrow is my first 5K.

The town next to us is holding a Duathalon and the 5K is part of the Duathalon. Of course, those crazy people will be running 3 miles, biking 22 miles and then running another mile, as in, after they get off the bike, as in, after biking 22 miles. Completely insane. Anyway, us 5K'ers take off for our portion after the crazy people get started.

Nervous? No. Not nervous. I'm pretty sure I can do it. I've been running 3.5 miles 3 times a week for some time now, minus the 2 1/2 weeks of recovery time, so finishing is not a worry and since I run at such a sloooowww pace, time is definitely not a worry b/c my time will be, um, slow. I'm running the race just so I can say I've run a 5K and that's it. So, actually, I'm pretty excited.

So, barring any complications, this time tomorrow will be time for celebration by throwing back a few of those homemade beers:)

Wish me luck!

Good luck! I did one last year, it was not bad just go at your own pace.
