Okay. I've had a few commenters wanting to see the loft. So, here it is. See that chair over in the corner of the second picture? The one with all the clothes on it? Yeah, that's my dresser. I know, I know, there is a dresser in the room too, but who has time to fold and open drawers and neatly stack shit in there? Not me. It's so much easier to just grab whatever doesn't stink or look too wrinkled off the chair and throw it on.
The loft has become the 'catch-all' for all the stuff we aren't sure what to do with. We have storage closets along the sides behind the walls - talk about a death trap!
If you look close, you can see the piles of crap next to the dresser, some of my husband's tools, who knows what else.
I did pick up my husband's undies off the floor - I do have SOME pride left, but not enough to make the bed.
Thanks for all the great comments.

What a great space!
My husband prefers to leave his clean clothes on top of his dresser and pull what he needs from the pile. We're about to start construction on a new house and I'm giving serious thought to putting a basic countertop in his closet and dumping his clothes on it.
OH thank you for caving and letting us into your loft. I love it!!
The loft is pretty neat for a messy spot. Looks fine to me!
You have a lovely home. Such a feeling of life and love. The loft is great. So open, I like it. Thanks for the tour.
oh my gosh. i love every single room in your house. i love the colors. i love the rocking chairs. i love all the books. and my tall husband woudl love your high ceilings.
I love your house!
I also love it that your bedroom is a little messy! I don't feel so bad - I always see other homes where the bedrooms are so neat! But none of them seem to have books. Oh well.
Your loft is great.
Love your loft!
Oooh, I am digging the loft. :)
discreetly asked - is privacy ever an issue with you two being in an echoy loft area? :)
Ha! Erikka - that is funny you ask, b/c we do have issues with that. Lucky for us, all our kids are in the basement, so there is a full floor between us:)
Cool - thanks for posting it. =)
That is GORGEOUS! And moving pigs? Oh my. . . we are in different worlds, my dear.
