Between baby lambs, farming conferences & seed ordering, who has time to blog?

If your heart is made of stone and you don't want to see pictures of baby lambs, you probably better keep moving down your feed reader to someone else..........

I am clearly obsessed with these little stinkers. How could you not be? Do you not see these little faces? The amount of time spent watching these two is obscene. As if I don't have other things to do?

The book orders are almost complete. 457 different titles to choose from this year. We are hoping for an attendance record of 2500 people, so let's hope they all come with fat wallets looking for something to read!

After book orders are finished I will be moving on to TAXES. Ick. Makes me nauseous just thinking about it. Yes, I do my own taxes which isn't all that easy considering my businesses, but I don't make enough $$ from those businesses to have a tax accountant. John's stuff is pretty straight forward, it's my shit that gets complicated, but I don't cheat and everything I claim I have a receipt for, so it doesn't worry me too much. Not that I ever want to be audited, but you get what I'm saying, right?

After taxes, ordering seeds is the next order of business. This a process that takes longer than taxes. Planning out the season, what to grow, how much to grow, timing everything to be ready for harvest at the right time........lots of planning, is what I'm trying to say. Usually, John and I leave for the entire weekend and lay everything out on the hotel bed with all the calendars and notes from the year before and just start plugging away, one step at a time. It's fun and exciting, but also stressful.

As you can tell, spending hours sitting in the barnyard watching lambs is the last thing I have time for, but did you see these faces?? Okay, I'll stop.

Hopefully this week I'll have something else to talk about, but until then? Here are a few more adorable pictures of the 'yet to be named' darlings.

Thanks for all the suggestions and they are all going into a hat where we will draw out the winners sometime this week. Brenna has put about 10 pieces of paper in the hat that say "Brett". Can you guess? Yes, we live in Wisconsin and it is football season.........Brett Favre. She is a true and loyal Cheesehead, that girl.

Have a great night!

Love the picts! I vote for Brett too. We're from Hattiesburg, MS and graduated for USM, same as Brett! Too bad they didn't make it to the Super Bowl.

The cuteness is almost unbearable.

I feel your pain on the taxes. I do mine as well, and for the same reasons. I don't cheat, but my bowels turn to liquid if I even think about an audit. Oh, for the simpler days of a W2 existence.
