Well, it's official - we have our first customer for the CSA. We sent out our welcome letters on Saturday, most everyone probably got them today and I just got off the phone with our first customer. She wanted to make sure that I marked her down "because she heard of a couple people that were going to sign up and she didn't want to be left out!"
Wow. I'm reeling. You know, you plan and have a general idea of how you would like it to work, but when it comes down to people actually signing up, you wonder, "what if we don't get any members?" Then, after you do have a member, panic sets in. Oh, God. We actually have to do this and be decent at it! All the insecurities come crashing in.
Besides being scared, it is really, really exciting. A customer! Who'da thought? Okay, enough about that.
What else is happening? The calendar is quickly filling up for January already - I went to write down a dentist appointment for the kids and it seems like overnight that sucker filled itself in.
Tomorrow, a small group of friends is coming over for a book reading we are doing and coffee. We are reading The Red Tent. Anyone read that one? I have read it about 3 times now and just love it. Then Friday night I am having a Girls Night Out at my house starting with margaritas and snacks and proceeding to the local establishments after that. A friend of mine that sells Pure Romance products is coming to show us her stuff - should be interesting and VERY funny. Then Saturday night my daughter is having her 16th birthday party - 30 kids, bowling and then to the local hang out for pizza and red bull. I'd say by Sunday, I'll not be able to get out of the bed.
Today was spent cleaning and trying to catch up on laundry as well as finishing up the seed orders. Last night was 4-H meetings, clogging practice and tomorrow night is a soccer meeting.
This is where I got the name for this blog - I feel like I'm constantly running a marathon and asking "Are we there yet?" Yes, this is all by choice, so I'll try to keep the whining to a minimum, but it's my blog, right? Hope all is calm in your world and oh yeah, did I mention? I have my first customer!! Yeah, me!
Till next time.
